OUR MISSION
In nature, mycelium is the invisible architecture of life, a vast underground, fungal network that connects plants, transporting vital nutrients and supporting entire ecosytems.
At Mycelium, we bring that same connectivity to our Regenerative Stewardship philosophy, where believe that conservation is not about isolation, but about integration. Through our ecocentric model, we support the connection between people and place.
Our mission is to move beyond the viewpoint of humans as being separate to nature and instead view ourselves as integral, and a vital part of its ongoing stewardship. Through our pillars of People, Place, Knowledge, and Legacy, we facilitate the "nutrient exchange" required for a resilient future.

PEOPLE
We operate on the principle that long-term ecological resilience is impossible without collaboration and local ownership. By bringing people together and building capability we can ensure communities are equipped to lead.
PLACE
We view the environment as a dynamic, working landscape where ecological integrity and cultural heritage are treated as interconnected, and by aligning our actions, we ensure that our restoration efforts are both appropriate and enduring.
KNOWLEDGE
We recognise that complete knowledge requires both data and history. We combine scientific metrics with the generational knowledge and insight held by mana whenua and community. For us, respecting history and knowledge systems isn't a box-ticking exercise, it is a foundation.
LEGACY
We work for the future. For us, a successful project is one that can eventually survive without us. Our focus is on long-term stewardship, restoring ecological health and resilience whilst transferring the capability to look after it to the next generation.
